I need my WEP key code for my wireless router DSL - 2640R Broadland Wireless G ADSL2+ Router. I need WEP key...

So access the computer that the router is installed on. Open the program that managed the network ( I have seen these both as a program installed on the computer and as an Internet accessed destination). Select add device, once you have done that the key that you need should pop up. Just put that in your laptop and you should be ready to surf the net. If this helped please rate Thanks Robert

I am changing to a new PC, from one that is already connected to a ASDL+ modem and a Linksys router. Do I need to install new drivers(for ASDL+ modem or Linksys router) in the new PC? Or can I just plug...

For you to use the modem direct - you may need drivers - BUT connecting to a router does not require any drivers - and you should just be able to plug in and go If wireless - then you may need to provide the wireless security key if the wireless is secure - and if the wireless is on the same SSID name as before that may cayse a problem - but you can renove the xp wireless profiles to overcome that Wireless Profiles
  • http://mgmcc.forumotion.net/networking-tutorials-f17/removing-an-existing-wireless-profile-t109.htm
  • http://www.tp-link.com/support/showfaq.asp?id=186
- delete the preferred networks start>control panel>network connections> right click on the wireless connection listed wireless networks tab in the preferred network list click on each one and - remove button you will then have to enter the wireless security key for any networks you connect to
If on a LAN connection - you may need to turn off the modem/router and PC - then turn on the modem - allow to settle and all the light to show normal status - turn on router and do the same then turn on the PC

Can't acess laptop computer but can see on desktop

To allow access between both the laptop and desktop the hard drives or folders on both computers must be made shareable.
Right click on the C drive or folders or other hard drive then click on Sharing and Security - Sharing. Then in Network Sharing and security - tick Share this folder on the network and enter a share name that identifies this computer and drive/folder.

Have wireless signal but no IP

Starting from the obvious, check that the cables are installed correctly.
You have to have a cable that brings the internet to your place.
Connect that cable into the router's jack labeled Connection to Modem.
Then get another network cable and plug it into any other jack form the back of your wireless router, and the other end into your laptop, just to make sure you are getting connected.
Once you are sure you can surf the net, unplug the wire from your laptop, and you should be able to surf wirelessly.

And if you still can't connect, let me know to perform additional steps.

Please don;t forget to rate this answer if helps.

Upgrade failure

The software that came with the WPS54G model is not (yet)compatible with Vista systems. This model is not listed on the Vista-ready devices from Linksys' website (www.linksys.com/vista). The behavior more likely a result of a software incompatibility.

For PrintServer network setup, you may still use the CD on a non-Vista system (XP, Win2000 or lower). Or, by installing it manually by accessing it's web interface.

To make your Vista working with the printserver WITHOUT the use of the PrintServer CD, do the ff:
1. Make sure PrintServer is configured on the network with the same wireless settings of your router and with a manually assigned IP address which is in range of the router's IP segment.
2. Make sure that computer can print locally to the printer (e.g. via USB connection to the printer).
3. When computer can surf the net and connected to the router's network (wired or wireless), follow the steps from this article and make sure Printer is showing up as Online.

Goodluck!
