I have a Sony Vaio Vgh-Fz240E I changed the motherboard, the LCD inverter still no display. Got a 1 minute display on external screen that said operating system not found."

props on doing all that. not many ppl can do that. I assume to checked your connections. So, if it has the motherboard battery, pull it, unplug everything from the motherboard. I built a pc and had this prob, all new parts and the ram was faulty. Can also put the old ram back in just to see.
Why did you have to change the motherboard?
Sometimes ppl mistake a bad Hard Drive for a bad motherboard.

How to disable integrated mother board ram. My netbook has a ram limit of 2 gb and has .5 gb integrated motherboard ram.

If you remove the motherboard RAM, (640k) the system will not be able to run. There will be nothing for the processor to process and no video RAM, so no display.

HP NC6230 No video

You need a CPU and RAM to get the motherboard running.
On-board video use part of the main RAM for video RAM.
Check the RAM, is it the correct type for this motherboard?
If all checks out then the motherboard maybe faulty.

Nvidia 8600m graphics card repairable

Graphics cards on laptops are part of the motherboard and cannot be replaced and near impossible to repair.
The graphic card uses shared RAM, it uses part of the RAM module/s and if the RAM is faulty, it could affect the graphics card. I suggest you re-seat the RAM module/s to see if it fixes the problem, if not take the RAM to your friendly computer store or repair center and get them to test the RAM for you.
If the RAM is OK then you have a motherboard problem and a replacement motherboard may not be a cost effective solution.
But you could remove the hard disk and put it into a USB hard disk adapter case and use it as an USB external hard drive.

Hardware malfunction call your hardware vendor for support NMI : Parity check / memory parity error the system has halted

Try the RAM modules one at a time in each slot. If issue is isolated to 1 module, replace the RAM module. If isolated to 1 slot, replace the Motherboard. If RAM changes make no difference, change motherboard

Excelling computer memory (RAM)

If you really wanna increase the RAM level acceptance you have to upgrade *********** board. You can force more than 512mb RAM with your current system. You can use Vista in which you can connect external USB drives which can act as RAM (but only in Vista).
As of now, you can put more than 512mb RAM in your system.

When stat thinkpad R50 beeps 2x and nothing

Two short beeps and no further activity mean you could have a motherboard problem or a memory (RAM) problem.
Reseat the RAM modules and reboot the laptop, if the laptop still doesn't work, remove the RAM module/s and insert them into a working laptop to test them, or take them to you friendly computer shop to have them tested.
If the RAM is OK then the fault is the motherboard. Replacing the motherboard may not be a cost effective solution.
