It will need at least a new battery but due to the deterioration of the electronic components through non use, it probably will not recover.

T4 loosing steering fluid

The steering rack will be leaking into the tie rod boots and likely dripping on the ground. This is normal wear and tear and fluid loss can be expected after around 10 to 15 years of vehicle life.

Pumps live a long time as a rule and if dry can be discarded as a fluid loss component.

It could also be wrong P/S fluid causing premature wear and/or deterioration of the pump and rack seals.

How do i know if the sway bar on my 1990 19e mercedes needs to be replaced

If its a sharp, quick rapping noise and you hear it going up driveways and hitting reflectors on the road I'd say end link bushing or frame mount bushings which wear out due to oil contamination usually. Also check for loose license frame or ratting pieces up front.less likely but also check suspension bushings for wear.Oil deterioration is a big concern with a high mile Mercedes with prolong leaking

Hi what is the common problem with Ford Escape 2004 V-6 Vehicle?

Hi, The Escape is a great vehicle, compact and great on fuel mileage. As with all vehicles, it has a few concerns that are more common specific to this vehicle. I've seen engine misfire concerns, usually caused by tiny fractures/cracks in the ignition coil housings or due to the rubber boot part of the coil deteriorating and allowing moisture to short it out. A scan tool can be used to retrieve codes that would determine which cylinder is affected.

Another concern is misfires caused by a break in the wiring between the computer (PCM) and the coils or fuel injectors. The harness constantly flexes when the vehicle accelerates and decelerates.

Another concern is the lower control arm bushing rubber deteriorating. When this happens the alignment will change and can cause tire wear.

The Escape has a short wheel base and is prone to tire wear. It's important to rotate tires regularly (7500 - 10,000) miles. If the tires wear (cup) enough the vehicle will exibit an audible roaring noise while driving.

If maintained properly, the Escape is a great vehicle.

Front tires wearing on inside very quickly on 1998 Mazda B2500

This may be due to the alignment being out of specification or possibly loose front end parts throwing your alignment out.

Hello, got a car question for you fine people. My friend had a timing chain that broke on his car at 50,000 miles. Kinda early for something like that I would think. What would cause a timing chain to go...

50K miles IS premature for a chain to break. They're pretty tough. Are you sure it's a chain? If it is a BELT, it could be old and broke due to age. They are a synthetic rubber and eventually they deteriorate over time.

You don't specifically state what kind of car your friend has, so I am presuming a 1998 Accord. That car should have a belt.

Either a belt or a chain can fail prematurely if the tensioning system fails. This will allow excessive slack in the chain or belt which will cause damage to the affected drive components. The tensioning systems can fail due to one or more of the following:

Lack of oil pressure, failed tensioning springs, failed pulley bearings, over-revving the engine for ridiculous periods of time, and failed plastic guide components.

Belts can also fail due to chemical contamination (oil or antifreeze leaking on the belt).

Finally - the water pump can fail which will derail the belt as the belt drives the water pump on many Honda 4 cylinder engines.

A5 grooming shear overheats

Usually a faulty electrical component breaking down. The insulation factor is deteriorating due to an electrical short in the component. Prolonged use will eventually shorten the 15 minutes and have it catch fire while in use. Get it fixed or ditch it before you get burned, electrocuted or it causes house fire

Where one or more electron guns in the CRT have deteriorated due to wear and tear, it is sometimes possible to give them a new, but possibly, temporary lease on life through rejuvenation using a special piece of CRT service equipment. try it in an authorised service station
