Solder to the circuit board, just in case they interact with other circuits.

SOURCE: where can i get a rebuild kit for a 1982 volvo

I would not suggest doing this repair yourself. It is a difficult job for a seasoned mechanic. I don't even rebuild them, I just get a remanufactured one from NAPA or Pep Boy's. Going thru Volvo will be even more expensive. You can go to Partsgeek.com or Autohause.com for replacement pumps. Is it leaking? I would also look into replacing the injectors at the same time along with the fuel filter.

I just changed timing belt on 82 volvo turbo, it starts and dies, if i excelerate it will keep going, otherwise it dies

no you check the tip of the rotor lines up with the edge of the cutout on your distributor body .that is the basic adjustment. you move the distributor very small amounts when adjusting the dwell angle when you use the timing light.

Problem for Volvo 2002 S60 Volvo s60 instrument panel not working

This is not a fault - it's characteristics for Volvo.
The solderings are sloppy made and with a little oxidizing the problems start.
Find a shop which does electronics and let them go through all the soldered connections. Make sure that there's no loose wires anywhere.

Im not getting spark ive replaced the distributor the cap and the rotor all the plug wires spark plugs coil ignition switch and still nothing what could the problem be anyone know??? im thinking its the...

if it goes to the distributor than that is an ignition module.it takes a small signal from the distributor and switches on and off to make a signal with more current to drive the coil.if it is bad you will have no spark.

Where is the rotory cap on a 1989 740 volvo

The rotor cap (i am not sure if you meant distributor cap or rotor button, but ill answer them both) on a 1989 Volvo 740 is located directly at the back of the engine block, connected to the cam shaft. it is the orange plastic device that the spark plug wires snap into. the rotor button is the orange plastic part found inside of the distributor. to get to the rotor button you would have to remove the distributor with a 8 or 10mm wrench (sorry I cant remember which), there are 3 bolts to remove. it should take less then 5mins to do this. GOOD LUCK:)

1982 244 gl ,searching for wiring diagram!!

Go to amazon.com, alibris.com, or abebooks.com and search for either a shop manual (best) or a Haynes-type guide. both will have wiring diagrams.
If this fails there is a store in Seattle that specializes in auto manuals but is pretty expensive. Paid $25 for an owners manual for my 1982 Volvo diesel, but they had it where no one else does. Don't have name but a Google search should turn it up - go the first route first
