Question about Refrigerators
Opened the wine cooler one day and it was very warm inside. The unit seemed like it was not on, could not hear any motor running. Turned to OFF and turned back ON, nothing happened, no sounds at all. Any thoughts?? thanks, Tom
Most likely the thermostat is bad not bringing the unit back on. the thermostat is the temperature control knob located in the toe grille of the unit. on the u-line unit replacing the control can get kind of involved but if you will follow the directions supplied with the part yyou can do it your self.

I see the two wires that are connected to the thermostat, they both have a plastic end. How do I go about placing these two wires together, ie...cut off the plastic ends, strip the wires and then place together?? Please let me know your thoughts.

You could just jump them together with a clip (make sure the jumper does not touch ground and the power is disconnected while trying this). A safer way to go would be to check the control continuity with an ohmeter. The contacts should be closed in any knob position except off.
