U-Line 15WCSS (wine refridgerator) not working.

Opened the wine cooler one day and it was very warm inside. The unit seemed like it was not on, could not hear any motor running. Turned to OFF and turned back ON, nothing happened, no sounds at all. Any thoughts?? thanks, Tom

Most likely the thermostat is bad not bringing the unit back on. the thermostat is the temperature control knob located in the toe grille of the unit. on the u-line unit replacing the control can get kind of involved but if you will follow the directions supplied with the part yyou can do it your self.

I see the two wires that are connected to the thermostat, they both have a plastic end. How do I go about placing these two wires together, ie...cut off the plastic ends, strip the wires and then place together?? Please let me know your thoughts.
thanks, Tom

You could just jump them together with a clip (make sure the jumper does not touch ground and the power is disconnected while trying this). A safer way to go would be to check the control continuity with an ohmeter. The contacts should be closed in any knob position except off. You can get a part or additional advise at or 1-800-779-2547 (U-Line customer support line)

Haier Thermoelectric Wine Cooler

This wine cooler hasn't held temperature for months, even though during the winter my living room gets to 58 F at night. I've had it maybe a year.

I took the back off, and 2 of the 3 heat sinks felt cool, which means the thermoelectric pack was just conducting cold out of the cabinet in 2 of 3 cases. The third one felt slightly warm, as it should. I checked that the cool ones had 12 v to them, they did, so they should have been pumping heat out.

I put bowls of ice inside the unit, and when the temperatures got down to the set points, I heard relays click, so I figured the control unit was OK.

I removed one of the TEC modules that was cold on the outside, and taped up the hole with masking tape.

I unplugged the fan from the circuit board and unscrewed that fan assembly from the heat sink.

I then clipped the leads to the TEC unit, cut away the blobs of hot melt glue, and disassembled the cooling module. I took the TEC device and hooked it back up, making sure it had voltage to it. After awhile, both sides just felt slightly warm so I knew it was bad.

Got on line and ordered 4 (to have spares) TEC1-12703 coolers. I have thermal grease. When the parts come, I will re-assemble and should be good to go.

I don't know what blows the TEC devices, they should be very robust. Maybe Haier got a bad bunch of them, I read almost all bad reviews on these wine coolers.

Wine cooler #ULN-75BWC-00 motor seems to have shut off and no longer cooling. Please advise possible issues & parts to be replaced. Unit about 7 yrs old.

the motor could be defective or it could be low o refrigerant causing the pressure switch to not kick on the fan. Could even be wires have come loose from the fan. If the fan does not work it won't cool. however it mould most likely cosy you more to fix if you take it to a shop to have it repaired if you have the tools to test it with I can help you so let me know if you have a test meter volt ohm meter and I can tell you how to test the system.

My Avanti wine cooler, model WC3201D, stopped cooling

same problem, can not fix. Had a authorized service tech who said that you can not add freon to this unit, the only option is to plant flowers in it.

Water seeping out the bottom of my wine cooler

there should be a drain pan that you will periodically remove. Condensate (water) is a normal byproduct of all refrigeration devices. Also look for a drain fitting that you can run to a waste line.

Too warm

somehow the freon has leaked out, verified by compressor running long times without stopping.
