Question about Refrigerators
Our frig makes a loud clanging noise when it shuts off after each cycle. It sounds like something inside is loose. Could this be the compressor or should I take the back panel off to see if anything appears loose?
TD, sounds like your valve springs in the compressor let loose and it's banging on the side when shutting down and equalizing. The compressor has a 5 year warranty. This is more annoying than anything. If it's under warranty, have them replace it. If not, it's up to you whether you want to live with it. Catriver.
