Question about Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I am running vista. After transferring some photos from my finepix S5000,(via USB) I cant take pictures anymore. When I turn on the camera a white canvas appears instead of the object I want to photograph. Everything else appears normal. I have tried to take a photo and it comes up as a white canvas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Dont no how to download my photos from my fuji finepixs s5700 to my pc

you can do it either by installing the finepix viewer and connecting the Cam to PC via the USB. the transfer rate is very low. For better transfer rates you can use a card reader

This appears to be loose connector to the motherboatd from the screen.
Try gentle squeezing of the casing near the bottom of the body
This may do the trick- otheriwise it is a workshop job and frankly not worth the cost - the money would be better spent on a more uptodate camera.
