Ouch! You likely killed the transformer - and hopefully that's all. You will need to replace this with an equivalent rating ie: 240 ac volt primary, 18-24vac secondary.
These are OEM for M-Audio and difficult to get through M-Audio ...an exact match from the original manufacturer is not possible but you can get close from other resources.

I"m sure you can find an electrical or electronic service
shop in your city. Take it to them and have it repaired.

Hi with regards to my audio a7x monitor speaker... on the unit it says 2 options 220-240V 50hz 100-120V 60hz IT says use only with a 250v plug.. which i did:/ the speaker just doesnt turn on at all?...

You must switch the voltage option to match the mains voltage in your area.
If you have 220 or 240 AC volts mains voltage in your area and you have set the switch on your monitor speaker to 100-120 volts and then connect it to the mains supply then you have destroyed your speaker.

Where do I get a volume control switch for a M-Audio studiopro 3?

@ Radioshack PN 271-0002 Volume Control with Push Switch, it will fix the speakers but make them MONO, so you need 2 of them to make it stereo. I recommend 2 cause this speakers have the volume distribution problem from factory.

Where can I find replacement parts for these speakers?

Your best bet is to replace them for $79

http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-StudioPro-3-Professional-Desktop-Audio-Monitors?sku=603709&src=3WFRWXX&ZYXSEM=0&CAWELAID=26047440

Otherwise you are limited to being able to replace with the same size but not the same part. In other words, no one makes exact replacement parts for those.

Will my Logitech X-230 speakers work in a country with 220-240 V power outlets or would i need an adapter to use them there? If i connect them directly to the 240 V outlet, will they run properly or would...

Check the back of your sub to check your voltage range. You will see something like this: 110V-120V or 110V-220V. If you see the later, you are ready to go. If you see 110-120V only, you will need a power converter to power your speakers as well as any other 110-120V equipment. But no matter what, if it is 110-120V DO NOT PLUG DIRECT TO 220V!! It will blow your speakers. (I lived in Germany for 11 years.)
