P5e3 deluxe motherboard. Computer starts ok but with nothing on the screen until the welcome logo. This means cannot get into bios or safe mode. Computer runs well otherwise

Your bios may be set for quick boot, and does not show the bios information. You can still access the bios by hitting F2(or possibly DEL) right after powering up. You can then change settings inside bios

All the drivers for that motherboard can be obtained from

Just input your motherboard model in the search box in the upper left hand corner and search. It will then ask you for what operating system you are looking for and take you to the driver downloads.

I'm building a computer, using a p5e3 deluxe with wifi. I have the bar minimum hooked in, and when I turn on the computer, I end up with the ps fan coming on and the case fans working, but the cpu fan does...

Make sure you have the cpu fan plugged in. With Asus the plug should be right beside the RAM sockets. It will be marked with a small cpu fan and will be either a 3 or 4 pin connection. If your cpu fan has a 3 pin plug & the motherboard has a 4 pin connection you can still use it. Just leave one pin not plugged in. Hope this helps.

P5E3 motherboard, wn XP lagging, USB lagging

Hi csoda,
I have not come across anyone having this issue with the Asus P5E3 deluxe motherboard but have had others with same troubles as you different boards & system configurations.
No issue with Asus & the quad 9450. You can read FAQ’s for you're Asus board at this link. (Look to the left under Related Link).

System lag & system reboots seems more related to software issues but can also include some hardware devices including the CPU overheat. CPU overheat usually shuts down the system not restarts. (Check CPU fan. Clean fan if dusty with clean paint brush & canned air).
In pc repair finding the problem for software is often long & difficult. Suggest you update you're antivirus software. Than run full systems scan. (Just to be safe). You can disable system restarts through system properties/advanced/startup and recovery/settings. Remove the check mark next to automatically restart. If you're lucky windows will display the error for restarting windows. I would suggest format & complete fresh install of windows. All the issues have two things in common. Window & the primary hard disk drive. If you are up to it, you can download the hard disk drive's software tools/utilities & setup software from the manufacture’s web site. Most Mfg's provide software utilities to allow you to create either a bootable floppy disk or bootable CD disk so you can check the drive's stability. The software can check for error's & repair any if found. You also can setup other features that can not be done with windows or the bios. You can set up cluster size & format type just to name a couple. Since windows is still working, suggest you back up to CD (If you have a burner) or to a memory stick, you're personal data. If the Mfg's tools/utilities finds a problem it will fix it & you are sure to loose you're data.
Lastly, there are also windows systems defrag & windows disk cleanup utility. That may help with lag but not with keyboard (try swapping the keyboard). Sound skipping is more related to disk performance or corrupted song.

Good Luck csoda!

ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition not posting

Hi nite dozer

on the asus mobo once you have plugged everything in there should be a light on the motherboard usually at one corner of hte board. Is it green? if not that means there is fault somewhere with the components. I would then start swaping components around to see which is the faulty one.

it may be that your board is dead after you have swaped all your components.

if thats the case just try to contact your asus representative in your country. They are pretty good in the states and you can just contact them ask for a RMA number and send it to them for repairs.

if you are lucky like i was they send you a later model mobo. You shouldnt have a problem b/c ur board is fairly new.

good luck
