Sir,
First you need to know where it is disconnecting, when it disconnects see if the panel on the router is indicating an Internet connection... good? Or else check the below steps:

go to start> run
type
cmd
type

flush /dns

try to reconnect

make sure window will configure your connection

log on to your router and assign your DNS address

If the problem is not solved, check with other user account if it is worked or not? If not worked check with provider.

Thanks
Good Luck

Hi,

Remove the switch and let the system run on the router. This would solve your problem.

are you using the cable modem as your router? if so then simply hard code your media hub to a static ip address in the same range that the router/modem communicates on. (private address side)

Hi,

You need to connect a cable from your modem into an internet port on your router and than a cable from an ethernet port of a router into an ethernet port of your hub and than a cable from hub to the computer.

How do you hook up a Dynex Ethernet Hub

If your hub has 4 or 5 connectors, connect one port to your router. This device will NOT work when connected to your cable modem, as the hub does not manage IP addresses like a router does. Hope this helps ... the remaining ports will feed internet, but not provide Internet addresses to a computer.

Only one computer can acces the internet in my hub , I have a Linksys NH1005 hub , I'm using cable dsl , but only one computer can acces the internet , it does not matter wich port

If you want to use more than one computers you will need to replace that hub with router. Best is to get wireless router because in most routers you have places for wired connections and also wireless connection.

Reason why you can't use more than one computer is simple because most ISP are allowing only one computer to be connected from DSL modem.

DES-1008D connectivity issues.

Is the modem a DSL or cable model?
Does the router have one ethernet port and a WAN port?
Normally the broadband modem is connected to the WAN port on the router and the ethernet port on the router is then connected to the hub/switch and the computers are then connected to the hub/switch.
The modem gets an unique IP address from your Internet Service Provider and then the router then issues Class "C" IP addresses to each computer that is connected to the switch/hub.

My two computers cannot pass through my broadband provider (through the switching hub) at the same time.

that is not possible for an single isp connection you can only connect one computer at a time and hub is basically a repeater that is it simply repeats the packets it receives from one input out the others.

ya u should have a router instead of a modem because modem provide only one ip address>and there is no DHCP server in the switch or hub>so buy one router which has 4 ether net port and connect it directly to the modem and connect ur two pc's behind the router then both will get a seperate ip address from the router both will go online
the connection is
modem-->ether net cable to the inter net port on the router-->and two ether net cable from both pc's to the 1 and 2 ether net jack on the router reboot all the devices>and modem+router+pc's then it will work>rate me solved if its helps thx
