If the power supply has gone out it could have been caused by a power surge, or lightning in which case would be covered under your homeowners policy. (if you have it) The part you need can be bought and installed by anyone with some mechanical experience. There are 5 screws that hold the power supply on. Make sure it's not plugged in when you're doing it.
