How do the fuel lines in a weedeater trimmer pe550 hook up inside the gas tank

I have an older model that has a weighted filter in the tank. The filter flops around and can 'fall' into the fuel no matter which way you tilt the trimmer/tank. You should have one in your tank. Feed in the new line and make the end come out the gas cap. Push the filter/weight into the end of the fuel line. Pull the extra fuel line out of the tank to match the original position. You should have cut the new line to approximately the proper or same length as the old fuel line with an angle cut so you could push it into the tank.

Which of the 2 fuel lines on PE550 edger is the steady fuel line for constant running?

Trace the hoses down into the fuel tank, the one with the fuel filter on the end is the main fuel line.

My PE550 weedeater edger that won't stay running. I have new carb, new fuel lines, new starter coil. any idea what could be the problem? I am now checking the gas cap, breather is good

check your fuel lines ensure you have them on correctly also check spark plug clean if necessary also when you change out fuel lines and carb it may take quite a few pulls to crank cause the little fuel system has to get primed up!

The screws that hold the carburetor vibrated out and are lost. Any idea what size they are ? SAE or metric ?

Here is your part. To see your whole machine, just select Weedeater PE550 and a couple parts diagrams come up. The part number with a photo and the price are here as well. Shipping is stiff, but this is the best I can come up with. The head is TORX 20 it looks like (could be T-15), but the thread style is the important thing. Good luck!

I need a diagram on how to reassemble the pull start.

Complete unit drawings can be found HERE.

On the right side of that page (under the "DETAILS" tab) click the plus sign (+) next to the folder labled "Illustrated Parts Lists".

The page with the pull starter is labled "Engine Assembly Type 3". Click on that and a new window appears with the complete breakdown.

Hope this helps,

WeedEater Edger PE550 Starter Rope will not recoil

Order a new recoil spring from your suppier. It comes wound up. Remove the old part first usually four screws on the outside. Make sure the rope is fully wound then insert the new spring and reassamble. If it becomes unwound by mistake its a labourious job to rewind but can be done.

Cant find anyone who will tell me how to adjust a homelite carburetor that only has one screw adjustment

Most devices will work ok if you screw the adjustment screw all the way in, then back off 1 and 1/2 turns.
Also, you might try a shot of ether-engine starter to initially get it going. As Always, have a fire extinguisher handy when dealing with these fuels. Good Luck!
