Question about RCA P52937 52" Rear Projection Television

Bad botton panel

The power botton does'nt work,and the menu botton does,nt work.The channel botton controls the menu and so does the volume botton.I took out the botton panel but I cant find the part.Can you tell if that is the problem or not before Ifind the part.

You can try powering the unit off, unplugging it for 15 minutes and see if controls return.. It's a long shot, because what you're describing is usually the Eeprom failure, RCA p/n# 241275...
The Eeprom is located at U13102 on the signal board..

you can program channel either in the remote control or in the tv button panel. press menu then go to manual fine tune so you can program the channel one by one. you can use the volume up/down button to tuned the desired channel. to select channel use the channel up/down button.

RCA P52937, Serial D045C504R. How do you reset the parental controls if you forgot the password?

i was told that the way to reset the code back is to simply hold the volume botton up, and the channel botton down for 5 seconds and it should read 0000. i hav'nt tried this , but thats what i was told.

No remote, front buttons don't work... how to change channels??

Hold down the MENU button on the control panel for more than 8 seconds to unlock buttons.

RCA 52 is los the configuration after a blackout.

One or more of the buttons on the front of the set is bad. Best thing is to take the front panel off. About eight TORX T-20 screws from the back to get the speaker grille and panel off, then three more on the front and the whole panel with the button assembly will come off. Simplest fix is to just pull the plug off and disconnect the button assembly. the remote will still work.

Can not change channels on TV

Good Day;

To reset the TV unplug power cord from the wall for 2 to 5 minutes then plug back in.

I am so sorry, but that board is Way out of production. You might try service forums for Thompson or Proscan. What kind of problem is there with the old one?

Do you have menu btton on front of tv if so press menu then use your channel up&down bottons to move to audio then use vol- and vol+ to turn sound on.also check to see if speakers are on internal or external make sure it is on internal speakers. you can go to dollar store buy 4 in one remote controller only 5.00 codes are in book .your code 000
