USB device not recogniszed. The device has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it


You may need USB drivers to recognize the USB drive, especially if it's an older copy of Windows. I would check with the manufacturer for drivers if that's the case. Maybe try it in another machine to make sure it's not defective too.

yes... replace it, OR Reinstall the drivers, from CD that came with it but IF it says the device has malfunctioned, 99 out of 100 it is right.

i would say that you need to update your driver online , if it says it has malfunctioned it usually means that your driver cant read your device you can find these things online just search free drivers and the key word for what ever you are looking for i hope this helps you you can reach me at Jonk3y@aol.com
