SOURCE: PROTECT Mode issue

Well let us start here ok one of my speakers blew the woofer blew out on my infinity speaker on the right side. Your amp will protect itself from being overloaded on one side of the power amp. This is what happened to me. So you should check your connections also this may also pose a problem. Make sure your speakers got 4 ohm or 8 ohm speakers switch dialed correctly on the rear of your power amp. check your ohm rating on your speakers also with a volt meter on your ohm setting which is very important which can damage your power amp if it is set wrong. You all have a great holliday season hope this helps.

Did you set all your parameters (see manual, page 15)? After that, you can then also change the levels of each speaker (page 16) also.

SOURCE: StR-DE945 stuck in auto protect mode

I had a mechanical problem with the relay on the 1st power supply board. The relay right next to the small transformer. The blac cover for the relay just comes right off. Make sure that the little black plastic piece is still in position (you'll see what I mean when you open it.) and check the contacts on the relay.

When I have the tuner in FM mode and select Dolby Digital the center channel is the only one that plays

Seems that you hav checked and set up rightly and the fault seems to be with the main amplifier drivers. Remove the left and right speakers and test, if these are OK then the fault can be with the outputs if there is no output even with a normal aux input .Take consensus to confirm.

Auto muting on when on am/fm and no sounds come out. everything else is fine.

That's normal.

The Auto Muting mode mutes the audio output of the tuner if the station is not sufficciently strong to be accurately tuned. Otherwise you would hear all that interstation hash noise.

Press the FM Mode button to change it to Mono if you want to manually tune a hard-to-reach station. It will be in Mono.

Page 26:

AUTO MUTING
Normally select this.
When a program is broadcast in stereo, you will hear stereo sound; when in monaural, you will hear monaural sound.
This mode is also useful to suppress static noise between stations. The AUTO MUTING indicator lights up on the display.

Pioneer GEX-FM903XM, system works great, however it often drops out and has just static. The signal indicator is strong. I think there is a bad connection into the radio. Where should I start...

It may be possible that the FM frequency chosen during setup, is in use in your area by a strong signal from a local station. Change to another frequency and see if the situation improves.

The following is from the Operation's Manual:

FM Modulator Setting
You can adjust FM Modulator frequency and output level.
7 Frequency
If output from the FM Modulator is hard to hear due to interference from a strong broadcast
station transmission, you can switch to another frequency.
You can adjust frequency between 87.9 and 90.1MHz.
7 Level
If the output sound is too quiet, too loud or distorted, you can adjust FM Modulator output
level.
You can adjust level between “LEVEL–1” and “LEVEL–7”.
1. Press the POWER button for 2 seconds to enter the FM Modulator Setting
mode.

2. Select the desired frequency
with the left/right arrow buttons.

3. Increase or decrease the Level
with the up/down arrows (buttons).

4. To cancel the FM Modulator Setting mode, press the POWER button again
for 2 seconds.
Note:
• After entering the FM Modulator Setting mode, if you do not perform an operation within about 8 seconds, the FM Modulator Setting is automatically canceled.

Not getting sound from right speaker

How do you have the audio hooked up from the TV set? If its s video or RCA plugs? If it is switch them around and see if it swaps channels that goes out . If it does then the output cable or the jack is bad. If your using an HDMI ir a scart cable. The cable or connections could be bad. Unplug it and reinsert it or while the units on mover it around and see if the audio comes back on.
