Bose 3 Companion Voltage

I am planning on bringing a Bose Companion 3 speakers to Europe where it is 220-240 voltage. The speakers are bought in the US, but I can't find anywhere in the cable or speakers that would help me. Can I just plug them in Sweden (where I am moving to)? Or will I have to buy a voltage converter (which costs 200 dollars)?

I have the same problem with the same product. I have brought it from the US to Europe but I am wondering whether I can plug it into the 240 volt outlets.

You'll need a converter.

Hello people, I have a problem and was hoping you could help me with it.
I have bose companion 3 speakers and not thinking i plugged them into 220 input instead of 110. They don't seem to work anymore. I am trying to open them up to see if there is something i can do.
But it seems impossible to open them up. The screws on the back dont do anything... and there is one big golden cover underneath which i cannot open.
Does anyone knows how I can open or fix them up?
Thank you

I need to know the voltage of the speaker for ac adapter matching

The speakers may have a label that has the voltage printed on it.
You can check the Bose WEB site for the specs of your model speakers. You need to know the polarity of the connector, if you get it wrong you could destroy your speakers.
You may need to contact Bose support if the specs do not help you.

Does a companion 5 bose speaker have a fuse?

You will need to change entire power supply/distribution circuit since you have managed to fry it all with twice the voltage required by the system. Speakers should be OK only the circuitry needs to be rectified and too by a professional/expert technician ...........sodeep

Bose Companion 5 Problems

email support@bose.com or contact a Bose Support Specialist in Germany; or call US support at 1-800-367-4008. Something very odd is happening here. You are using the same laptop, correct? If not, let me know, as there are some things to try. If Bose has a solution, I'd love to hear it.
