HP CP3525 loud grinding noise when it starts a print job. I removed each toner,1 at a time. When the magenta toner is out the noise goes away. I replaced it and still same noise. Any ideas?

Possible that the drum drive for the magenta is not engaging properly. On the control panel go to troubleshooting and then diagnostic test and then component test and test all the cartridge/drum drives.

My hp priter is printing pink lines in the edges of my paper

Your magenta toner cartridge or magenta print cartridge is leaking should replace it (magenta is the red one).

Hp 3800dn, it says the magenta toner is missing when it is installed. have try several different magenta toners thimking bad toner cart, also have rebooted the printer, ideas? Mark

Using the control panel, run the "disable cartridge" check test. Using this test you will be able to put the magenta toner in another slot. If it works there(in another slot), put the black toner in the magenta slot. If the black doesn't work...the slot is bad. At this point you should be able to call in a printer tech to actually do hands on troubleshooting.

My HP 4700d is printing magenta streaks.

Run a PQ test. On the control panel, go to diagnostics and then find the PQ test. This will print a quality test that will reveal if you have a bad cartridge, which is the most likely cause of magenta streaks.

HP 2600, magenta 2mm to left misaligned

Just had almost exactly the same issue - except the Magenta was printing 2mm below where it should have been.

Went through all the recalibration menus multiple times and the factory restore etc. Then wondered about the toner cartridge. If the problem is just with the Magenta, maybe this is where the issue lies. The printer had remanufactured toners in it - all the others were fine. Went and found a new HP original magenta toner - printer did its default recalibration on startup and the config test page came out like new. Put the old one back in and problem reappeared.

Strongly suggest you try another toner cartridge - as I suspect the chip is to blame in some way.

The red is not printing

At a guess you are using recycled toners? If the recycler has not worked out the refilling procedure properly, the problem you experienced with the exploding Cyan toner is common. It is possible in the act of blowing out the loose cyan toner your have used to much air pressure, possibly blowing toner into the laser beam units, or damaging the toner sensor unit for magenta.
A diagnostic inspection, by a technician would be suggested.

Every page covered in magenta and black won't print across the page

This is caused by toner contamination in the laser scanner unit, it is quite a complex job removing and cleaning the laser scanner. I would suggest you contact HP regarding the repair.

There may be a release lever for the print head assembly which would allow you to remove the print head and clean the excess ink from it. If it appears to get better the more pages you print it may be just a matter of time and lots of pages before it cleans itself.
Try running the print head cleaning utility multiple times to help reduce the amount of ink on the print head. This could take quite a few times before it gets better.
