You are plugged in, correct? Might you be in a circuit that is GFI protected? You are certain the door is closed?

No power to the display, dryer will not turn on

First thing you need to do is check the Circuit Breaker for the dryer. If it is tripped unplug the dryer and reset the Circuit Breaker. Now plug in the dryer and try to run it. If it does not work again check the Circuit Breaker again if it is tripped again unplug dryer and call someone that can help you or fix it. If the Circuit Breaker is not tripped check for good power readings on both power lines coming into the dryer. Should have 110V or more on each line to neutral, and 220V or more between each line. If you do not have the correct voltage at each line check Circuit Breaker for good power coming out.

When turned on it just humms and blows the 15 amp breaker in the panel

you have a dead short! Check the compressor you are plugging in. Check cord for damage to wires. If cord looks good and compressor is in good shape where you are plugging in is overloading circuit and tripping breaker. Does the breaker hold for any period of time when you reset it?

I was following TheMobilian's walkthrough of figuring out the problems with dryer model 11060622990, and I have successfully determined that the timer, the heating element, and the thermostats are all...

you should have gotten 240 volts, between the two top legs. I would check the circuit breaker in the panel, it should be a 30 amp breaker. I would pull off the cover of the panel, with a meter check and make sure it is putting out the 240 volts from the breaker, if it is not then I would go to a home improvement or hardware store and buy a new one, if it is then I would turn the breaker off and pull the cover off the outlet, inspect and make sure the wires are connected and not burnt. If all is good then I would turn the breaker on and test the legs. Good Luck Tim

All of a sudden dryer won't come on. Checked connection, OK.

Check your circuit breakers. Your unit usually has a double circuit breaker. Find the correct circuit breaker and turn it to the off position to reset it then turn it back on.
Good luck

I have a 1990 hd ultr clasic tour glide. when i use my turn signals my instrument lights and gauges flash. all grounds have been cleaned and look good.

Your turn signals are controlled by the turn signal cancelling unit and the only thing it has to do with the lights and gauges is the power source. Check your "lights" circuit breaker. It sounds like you may have a short circuit somewhere causing the circuit breaker to break and then reset, only to break again. This happening over and over will appear to be a turn signal flashing. Find the circuit breakers, usually under the seat, and listen when you turn the turn signals on. See if you can hear the circuit breaker "clicking". Good Luck!

No water in the house from well. circuit breaker is trippe. when i move it to on...it sparks & trips immediately (pump does respond & turns on briefly)

Hi,
There is really only Three options...
1) The pump is out
2) Wiring is shorted
3) Breaker is bad

The reason it sparks when you turn the breaker to " ON " is there is a dead short. An easy way to check a 110v wire and breaker is to disconnect it from the pump and hook it to a SPARE NEW receptacle and plug in a light... turn on the breaker and see if it still sparks and if the light comes on. If you don't get sparks and the light comes on, then your pump is shorted and needs repaired or replaced. If it does spark when you turn on the breaker then you need to replace wire and or breaker.

Hope this Helps,

RUNS BUT WON'T HEAT

Is it gas or electric ? if it's gas, good be a ignitor, flame sensor, etc. if electric...check your breaker. is this a new home, new wiring, just moved in ? don't just visually inspect the breaker either, I mean physically turn the breaker (it should be 30amp) "off" and then back "on". breakers can partially trip, which will still supply the unit with 120v hence allowing the drum to turn, but the heater cannot come on.

NOTE; keep in mind if the breaker is tripped, have the unit inspected, it's a symptom to another problem.

good luck

Hotpoint washing machine keeps tripping electric

First unplug your washer. Check the ground on the washer and make sure it isn't loose; this would be a good time to inspect the wiring harness for any problems. Next check the outlet (turn off the electric to that breaker first) make sure all the wires are tight and are making good contact; pay special attention to the neutral (white) wire. If that seems fine, and you are comfortable with going into you breaker panel, turn off that breaker and check the hot (the wire on the breaker) to make sure it isn't loose and then check the neutral wire. If either of these wires seem loose tighten them down....a loose wire will move when a load is put on it and cause the breaker to trip. If all seems normal and washer is still tripping the breaker you might want to replace the breaker.....they can go bad. Good luck!
