I have a cub cadet 2130 mower. After 5 years, when I pull the switch for the baldes to engage , nothing happens. The problem first styarted by my pulling the button and in about 10 seconds the electric clutch engaged. How do I check this unit? or could it be a fuse?

The swith contacts are probaly bad or there is a lose wire on it if you know how to get it out check for lose wires and try going to an electric supply store and ask for electrical cleaner that will not harm plastic and spray it in any openings in the switch if you can not get it out take it to a repair shop.

Check the "engage" switch. If it is shorted, it will drain the battery.

shouldn't. Just remove the blower housing and the hold down nut for the flywheel then put your flywheel puller on it and remove it

I HAVE A CUB CADET 50 INCH CUT ZERO TURN, WHEN YOU PULL THE PTO SWITCH TO ENGAGE THE BLADES THE BATTERY WILL DISCHARGE.

Most likely a short. You have to look in the area where engage switch gets blades going. You will find a cut wire or wires that are touching metal. This will kill a battery very quick. Fix wire , tie up wire so this doesn't happen again, and off you go. GOOD LUCK.

Cub Cadet 2166 series. Mower will not engage.

Unfortunately, the circuit is a little complicated - it involves the "PTO switch" (the switch you pull on to engage the mower), a "reverse switch" that senses if you've put the mower in reverse, and a relay operated by the reverse switch. The reverse switch is there to disengage the blades if you try to reverse while mowing. A failure in any of those items, or the connectors and wiring between them, will prevent the blades from engaging. Unless you want to "shotgun it" and replace parts one-by-one on a guess (which many repairmen to do save time, but at your expense) you need to use an ohmmeter or test light to trace and isolate where the failure is.

Cub cadet 2130 engine starts and runs but stalls when either engage the power take off or I take off parking break? Any ideas?

there is a switch under the seat that senses if you are on the mower or not. check it, make sure it's plugged up try replacing it. if it does not "see" someone on the seat it will shut down

My Cub Cadet 2135 PTO won't engage.

these mowers are riddled with safety switches. i would lean toward one of them malfunctioning. is the battery charged up? a weak battery will not engage the electro magnet.
