Copies printed from scanned photos are dull, muddy and not true to original colors. White backgrounds appear beige.
Regular prints are fine with good color. We just have a problem when scanner is used. We have had wonderful success with scanner in the past. This is a sudden and recent problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I just purchased this and can't seem to get it to scan on my Macbook Pro (1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo) running OS 10.5.8. I tried Adobe ImageReady CS (v.8). I go to File/Import/Twain Select and choose ScanExpress A3 USB 1200 Pro. Then I go to File/Import/Twain Acquire and get the error message "Could not import the document. Reason: There is no device installed (error #-30001).
I installed the driver from the supplied cd before I connected everything up. Is there something wrong with my method? There seems to be no power button on this scanner, and it didn't really come with a scanning program or much in the way of a manual.
