Aspire one notebook's screen was blank

connect the laptop to an external monitor, turn it on see if the monitor will display.

If the monitor displays, then it means your screen inverter or screen bulb is the cause of the laptop screen being blank.

Also if the monitor does not display anything, the maybe the graphic card is the cause of the problem.

This would involve you taking the laptop to a repairer

Try to connect the laptop using and external monitor if the external worked the problem is with the laptop. If not try to reseat the memory module also.

You need to Revive the bios back.
Search for Acer bios revive in google

Turn off notebook. Remove the battery. Press Power button. Notebook should start working. Wait for 15 secs. If the screen still blank press Power button and hold it for approx. 4 seconds until notebook is powered off. Then press power button again. Bingo, problem should be solved.

I wont think this is a solution for you, if possible just take it to the acer service care, its a rare problem may i didnt have solution for this

Have your laptop check up the technician, it has somethingt to do with your video card

I recentyl had to have Acer repalce my video card for the same issue. Take side cover off with computer turned off and unplugged. ground yourself and check connections insides expecially the video card.

Hi, if it works with an external monitor it's more likely an LCD problem. When you push the power button, noting comes up on the main LCD screen? not even the Acer logo etc.?
Did you set your video card to use an external monitor and disabled the primary LCD? If so, you need to go to display settings, advanced and go to ATI Display and make sure that the notebook monitor is on.
