The first curve is taken to be the one in Y1= equation. To select the 2nd curve (or to jump from one curve to the next) you use the Up Arrow or the Down Arrow. The left and right arrows allow you to move along a single curve (trace).

How do you graph/trace multiple functions at the same time with a TI-84 Plus calculator?

To draw multiple functions (up to 9) enter them in Y= editor and make sure that the = in Y1= is and remains highlighted. It you cannot keep them all highlighted, it means that the Transfrm Application is still in memory.

Anyway, when tracing you can move along the Same curve by pressing the left/right arrows. To jump from one curve to another use the Up or Down Arrows. As you press the Up/Down arrows you move from the current curve say Y5= to the preceding one (Y4=) by pressing the Up Arrow, or following one (Y6= ) by pressing the DownArrow. Whatever the curve you are tracing, its equation appears at the top left corner of screen.

Hello,
You can draw several graphs on the same screen and use the TRACE function to move the cursor along a curve and read the values of the x-y coordinates. To move cursor along the same curve you use the left and right arrow keys.
But to jump from one curve to another curve, you use the Up and down arrows. Each time you press the Up or down arrow cursor jumps from the current curve being traced to the next one as they were entered in Y= editor.

TI 85 doesn,t turn on. I didn't use the calculator for a year. Please help !

Assuming good batteries, both AAA and the Memory CR 1616, then most often a screen contrast problem. Push ON, Then 2nd button (yellow Key) , then UP arrow, then either UP or Down arrow
to set your contrast. Good Luck, Calculator should show the screen calculations now, so you can tell if it is on or not.............Not that it wasn't working, you just couldn't see it working or coming on......
