Often DVD will not read, but trying cd to play music will work. which will drive circuits very hot to drive offmoisture condensation. Upon cool down DVD will read. If it does not play the whole DVD, use cd again to get moisture off, until DVD can play all the way and second DVD will play all the way.
the dvd drive needs to be replaced cause the laser is getting weak which is why it will read dvds but not cd's. Once you replace the drive you won't run into that problem.
I think your mp3 player is not recognizing the fromat you have filled in your mp3....read the manual and download the suitable format which your mp3 supports.
Thanks :)
Sounds like the flash drive could be failing or dying. I would try to put it into another computer. if the same problem occurs, then most likely the flash has died. You could try using this free software getdataback. to recover lost files.
When the CD/Dvd Drive becomes old the Optical Lense is not strong enought to read DVD because DVD is more dense than CD track. You can Try to clean the lense. There are lense cleaner available on the market.
I had something similar to this happen to my desktop. I read somewhere that are are 2 laser in the drive. One to read dvds and other to read cds. Your dvd laser may be fried.
Assuming you have tried different makes of cd or dvd disks, it's a classic drive failure problem where the laser can no longer burn or read dvd's, but may still be able to read cd's only.
You will have to replace the drive, they are quite inexpensive, and very easy to fit.
