I f you are in an area where there are tall buildings,
mountains or even in your garage it has difficulty picking up a Satellite, only thing I can reccomend is to restart the GPS outside, wait a few minutes and it should pick up a Satillite.Good luck.

My daughter's Trutech TV keeps going to a black screen but the sound is still on? What could this be? It's only 2 years old.

it could be the settings on the cable/satellite box. Make sure that it is set to 16:9 turn off/disable any 4:3 override or native resolution setting, and set the resolution to 720p. Make sure to accept and save the changes.

If the television isn't connected to cable or satellite box and this happens no matter what the television is connected to and on all of its inputs then it could be loose

Rino 530 keeps loosing signal was hunting in Canada using rino while walking . keeps saying no satalite

The GPS needs a clear view of the sky and at least 3 or more satellites to get a fix on your position. If you are under a heavy canopy of tree cover / brush, it can affect accuracy and even the GPS's ability to get a fix at all. Also, if you are in a mountainous region, the geometry of your location and the location of the satellites over the equator could be obstructed, resulting in the lost satellite messages. You must have an unobstructed view of the southern sky to get a fix.

If you are able to get a fix in an open area, the GPS is able to do its job, but the location you're trying to use it in is offers too much interference to capture satellite signals.

Making sure you've got the latest firmware from Garmin can solve a lot of troubles, too. If you still believe that your GPS isn't working the way it should, contact Garmin Support.

I hope this helps - and good luck. Please rate my reply - thank you.

The plug where the power cord plugs in seems to have a loose connection. I keep losing power to the unit. any suggestions?

just try to change the ac, maybe it is the one that is defective, or if your suspicion is right open it and solder the loose contact

Toshiba L40 won't switch on just keeps flashing help?

Check the battery, it is possible that they connection to the unit is either loose, severed or not working, Worst case scenerio the mobo is gone. Also remove the hard drive and or the memory to see if you get any graphics. either or could be stopping the boot process

Keep gettig disc read error when i turn the computer on. ran both recovery discs still wont work.

If you see disc error when booting, most likely it is either a hard drive failure or a loose interface connection between the hard drive and the motherboard.

Antenna keeps loosing its satellite connection

ensure the connection into the receiver/dock is not loose. Also check the antenna wire to ensure there are not any places where the wire has become chaffed. Its not uncommon for the antennas to go bad also.

I had the belts replaced on the sirius satellite radio in my car and now my satellite radio is totally dead. The mechanic has no idea what could have happened. Do you? many thanks Emily

if you had the belts repaced on the engine of your car.. that has nothing.. to do with you satellite raido.all the belts do for a car is ..keep the timing in check run the water pump.. altanater.. and in older cars the radiater fan... air pump.etc.. now..if oyur alanator has or your battery are not grounded correctly it could have blown or over heated the roido..thoes satellites are real sensetive... check the alt and battery ground first. thne if you wired it to the fuse box or wired it from under the hood i would check for a loose wire. your mechanic might have accdently lossed it when he put on your belts good luck
