How to hardwire rowenta powerglide to bypass safety switch

I want to "hardwire" my rowenta powerglide iron to bypass the safety switch that has failed. Which wires do I hardwire together? It has 3 going to the switch: red, black, and blue. Red and black are next to each other on the switch; blue is on the other side.

You obviously don't understand electricity and wiring, therefore do not attempt to do this yourself as the results could be fatal to anyone using the iron.

Buy a new one , the tank seals have gone and it is not worth repairing it.

My rowenta stopped heating , mid-shirt!!......now it seems dead and wont heat at all !.........thanks !!!

The most likely cause is a broken wire in the cord. Replacement should only be done by a qualified electrical appliance repairer. Ask for a quote as it may be cheaper to buy a new iron!

The light is on...but no heat at all?

This is a problem with a lot of Rowenta irons. It is the auto shut off that is not working properly and the only way to fix it is to have it disassembled and the switch hardwired to be on whenever the iron it plugged in. It is a thermal metal switch and it just stops working and then the iron will not turn on and the yellow light blinks.

Rowenta DE-09 will not turn on. Plug it in and nothing happens. Is a fuse blown or some problem similar to that happening? Thanks
