Hello sir, the reason its flashing green is that there is no signal comming out of the PC. Open the PC side cover and locate the Memory module, remove it and clean the contacts, both on the module and the socket, use any clean brush to wipe out dirt on the socket. and an eraser to clean contacts on the module. replace the memory. test. make sure all modules are snug and fit. let me know your progress. thanks

I have a Dell Dimension E521 desktop computer. When I try to turn it on the button just flashes green but it does not come on at all. What might be the cause and is it something major to fix?

Blinking Green power button indicates the computer is in a Windows® Standby power-saving state. Do any LED error codes display on the front? They are located next to the 2 USB ports on front.

Start button flashing

It depends on the color, if it's green or amber. This may indicate the computer is in sleep mode. Press the power button to see if you can turn on the pc. If it doesn't press and hold power button for five seconds. You may give more details. I hope this helps

Dell dimension 2350 won't boot, the psu fan comes on and the fan for the heatsink, the hard drive makes so noise what so ever and the disk drives won't open at all.

Depending on the Power and Diagnostic LED indications the system appears to be in a no post state. If the power LED is flashing Amber, the power supply is suspect. Solid Amber, indicates a motherboard problem. The Diagnostic LEDs on the back marked ABCD can give more specific POST error details.

Pull your hard drive and install it as a slave on another machine. If you can't read from it there, your hard drive is toast.

If you went to support.dell.com and keyed in your service tag from the Dimension - dell should allow you to drill down and select the correct one.

Sometimes there are a few - usually from the month to month the machines were made the drivers can be different.
I have had to open the case and get the model number off the device before
