As long as your DVD recorder has line inputs yes you can.
If your DVD recorder has a DV input, you can use a firewire cable. If your DVD recorder has audio and video inputs you can hook the output of your camera to the line inputs of your recorder and record in realtime
Most DVD recorders do have inputs, you can use either the Y/C (black round connector) or the composite (yellow connector) along with the audio inputs (red & white) RCA plugs depending on the type of camera you are using.
