The paper pulled out really hard when I removed it. I can't see anything wrong but of course you can't see in there very well.

Hi,

This usually happens when a sensor that detected a paper jam has not reset itself after removing the paper. Make sure that when the jam was removed - all the paper came out and there is/was not a small piece missing that could have been left behind in the copier and is hiding somewhere.

If you are sure the paper has all been removed then what could have happened is when the jam was being removed it could have caught on one of the paper sensors. This could pull the little flag that activates the sensor out of place - giving a false paper jam message. there are only a handfull of sensors in the paper path. remove the paper tray and make sure there is no paper stuck behind the tray or in the cavity where the tray goes. look and follow very closely the path the paper takes - look for any sensors/flags the paper would avtivate and make sure the flag moves freely and is not lopsided.
Make sure you also try unplugging and replugging the copier from the wall, ie.doing a power cycle

LEave me comments if you need furthur assistance

You'll have to open it up and look inside for something amiss, there is no way to guess what the problem may be

Kyocera mita km2530 paper misfeed jam00

This usually means that no paper has been fed from the paper cassette or the machine was turned off when you had a paper jam.
Remove the paper cassette from the machine and ensure that nothing is stopping the paper from feeding. Also look into where the machine locates in the copier to ensure that no paper is jammed behind the cassette.
The paper feed rollers may need cleaning or replacing.

A misfeed has occurred

If this is a regular home-use printer, a misfeed usually indicates a jam when the printer is pulling blank paper from the tray. The most likely solution is to just clear the jam (gently but firmly pull any stuck paper out of the machine), make sure the paper tray is adequately filled (not overfilled, and make sure the paper is all the way in so the rollers can reach it), and hit the okay button on the printer. (If your printer has no okay button and there's no message box appearing on your monitor, then restart the device.)
If that doesn't work, then more specific information (brand, model, your computer's operating system) might help determine the cause of the problem.

Paper feeder stuck

If the paper feeder stuck, do the following:
  1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output tray or sheet feeder.
  2. If paper is stuck inside, open the printer cover and remove the jammed paper, including any torn pieces. Then close the printer cover.
  3. If paper remains near the sheet feeder, press the paper feed roller lever inside the paper feeder to release the jammed paper, then carefully pull it out.
  4. Load the paper correctly.
  5. Press the cp_button_14.gif stop button to resume printing.
  • If the printer continues to jam or misfeed paper, and you are certain that there are no foreign objects lodged down inside the paper feed area, your printer may require service. Please call Epson technical support for further assistance.

Ricoh Aficio CL3500N printer phantom misfeed

It seems that the sensor is having dust or toner settled upon it. Kindly remove the toner and clean the residual toner. Take a hard stock paper and give one copy command and push it while it tries to pull the paper. Paper misfeed is not the same as paper jam. Paper misfeed refers to the blank paper tray and paper jam refers to paper which has been taken from the tray and now inside the unit.

MACHINE DO NOT COPY AND GIVE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: (A ZIGZAG SYMBOL) WITH "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION"

Sounds like the 'Clear misfeed' symbol. Open the front cover and follow the pictorial diagram instructions to check your paper feed path for jammed paper. Remove misfeed, and close covers. This should reset your machine.

    Phaser 7300 jamming manual feed

Can you print fine with no jams from the lower tray?
make sure you have clean new paper and start out with the 11"x8.5' letter paper. If you have that then follow the instructions below.

    1. Make sure there is no peaces of paper jammed in the path.
    2. clean the rollers with regular rubbing alcohol sometimes the rollers get way dirty to pick up the paper.
    3. If none of these tricks helped you then you have to change the the manuel feeder. part # 116-1561-00 good luck.

The machine gives a false error message.''misfeed A :internal path

Pull out paper cassett and look for paper in the feed section. Fold a sheet of paper in half and using the blue lever inside right side door feed paper between feed rollers. Make sure you do the whole width of feed section. There might be a small piece stuck you can't see.

Paper jam without any paper deskjet F370 all in one

    Hi there,

Here is the most important thing to understand about paper jams in any printer....

The printer does not know if there is a paper jam anywhere in the printer.

What it does do, is respond to sensors ( optical sensors, either open or closed, by plastic flags). These flags are moved as paper moves through the paper path.

One example of a paper jam message when there is really no paper jam, is when the feed rollers are worn and do not pick up paper from the paper tray.

When you start printing, the printer expects that first sensor to open ( paper passes the sensor ) at a very specific point in time. If the paper did not get picked up from the tray, then the printer will ASSUME that the paper must be jammed somewhere because it did not reach it on time.

Now this will also happen if in fact the paper did get picked up and then jams prior to the sensor.

So... if you get the picture of how this works, understand then too, that if the printer is showing a paper jam message at power on, then one of the flags is open when it should be closed.

If you do not actually have a piece of paper holding this flag in the open position, then the flag is possible broken.

I usually see this kind of damage occur after a true paper jam, where the paper is removed either in the wrong direction ( pulled out back the way it was going instead of the way it should normally travel ), and this breaks the flag, or it was pulled out forcefully again, catching on and damaging the flag.

All of the above pertains to ANY printer, and not just yours. you must take care to fully inspect every inch of the paper path, from the paper tray, to the exit, use a flashlight, and look for the sensors and make sure they are not blocked or broken.

    Good luck,

    Cory

    Paper Misfeed Problem

When you close the doors does the message disappear? If so then the paper pickup roller is worn. Open the cassette remove all paper apart from one sheet. Spray a alcohol based cleaned on the leading edge of the paper. Try and do a copy this will issue a jam and also clean the pickup roller. repeat a few times then clean out the cassette and dry off place new paper in the cassette and try. Also there maybe a piece of paper behind the cassette. Remove cassette and reach in and remove paper lodged at back.

    Thanks Jason
