Re: One of he units will not transfer

Looks you have a TX prob, either the TX switch is faulty or the PCB has gone bad.

One unit only receives a faint voice communication

Too bad you do not have a 3rd radio for testing. My best guess is you have a bad speaker. Speakers can fail for many reasons. The one I most often encounter is dirt in the grill. It packs in and simply stops the sound. Clean the grill area carefully if this is possible. If new radio, then the manufacturer may have a faulty part or poor installation. I have also seen a glob of glue on a speaker, also making it weak. If you can get a squelch noise, is it loud? If so, I have more ideas. If not, it is your speaker.

One of my midland GXT635 won't send or receive from my other one.

Yikes- Sounds like it's time for factory servicing! Hopefully, they still support that model. If not you'll probably have to buy a new one.

2-way radio beeping when touched.

Best advice....bite the bullet and send them back. Any problem that pops up when a device is NEW...will only get worse in time. Best you exchange them for a good working set now to avoid problems down the road.

Radio will not send

It is possible your Code for transmit is different than your Code for receive. Cobra makes so many models, you are not giving enough information. Also, Transmit takes a LOT of power, so even if everything is setup, if your batts are weak or old, the radio will receive, but not transmit. Also check your antenna, make sure it is tight and NEVER transmit without an antenna. Yes, all lights will work even with old batteries.

Motorola talkabout t5710s won't recieve

The question I would ask is:

How close are the two radios to each other when you contact from one to the other?

A distance between the two radios of about 10-15ft, preferably more is desirable to achieve audible results, having the closer than 10ft, causes one to cancel the other out, so you either hear static, feedback or nothing.

Try 15ft of more distance between radios and see what happens.

Pls feel free to post the results here on the two way radio forum, as I'm interested to find out what happens.

Cheers, Peter@FixYa Team

My transceiver yaesu ft-one can't received/monitor and transmit

I understand that You have a problem with the TX/RX. The problem with your radio is one that can't be solved with out actually looking at the radio on the bench. The only thing I can tell you is to either go to your local radio shop or send the unit to the factory to be serviced. One thought that does come to mind though is that your battery may not be working most rechargable batteries are only good for about 18 months. There may not be enough charge to operate the radio.

I have two Cobra HH-35 WX units available. They are reconditioned, still in the box, and tested but never used. Will sell for both for $30.00 plus 8.98 Priority Mail Shipping. You will have in 2-3 days.

No sound

Turn on power to both units. Set the sound level to high on the "good" unit. Press the talk button on the 'bad' unit and speak. Can you hear your voice reproduced in the 'good' unit ?

If so the power system is fine, and the problem will be in the receiver setup of the 'bad unit". You are the third problem I've addressed with this model radio. Perhaps a return is in order. You can take the money and get a different model or brand ...and save yourself a lot of troubleshooting that doesn't make good time sense given the low cost of this device.
