Question about Campbell Hausfeld Air Tools & Compressors
Every time I connect my Campbell & Hausfeld fp200300av Compressor and push the power on, the fuse blows. Even if I disconnect the motor from the circuit board the fuse continues to blow. Then I extracted the Rectifier-diode (the black and square with a hole electronic with four stands part).
This piece was the reason of the short circuit, I replace it with an equivalent one and I accomodate it to the right terminals in the circuit board. My compressor works flawlessly again!

According to CH it should be a 5 amp fuse/ time delay.
The symptoms indicate a short circuit. You really need a multimeter and ammeter so that you can troubleshoot the circuit
