Question about BenQ FP731 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

The screen will not start up. It looks like there is a very faded picture but then it will dissapear alltogether. When I hooked up a different monitor to the pc it works fine.

Tv has red screen and no sound

how are you hooked up? sometimes i get weird colored screens when people use the component cables (red, green, blue, red and white) to hook up but get one in the wrong spot or not in all the way.

uh... if this isn't helpfull try using a different input alltogether. like, if your using video 1 put it in video 2 or if your using hdmi try just using the SD composite (yellow, red and white)

eh, good luck

Comes on, but no picture, seems like its stuck in sleep mode

Perhaps the problem lies not with the computer but with the monitor. Is the boot up screen showing like "Windows is starting up..." or do you simply get no image whatsoever? If your screen is blanked out alltogether the monitor may not be connected properly or may not even be functioning at all. Try looking to see if it's connected properly and seeing if it's even getting power... Otherwise I'd replace the monitor.

Westinghouse SK26H240S - Sound works but no picture?

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Please post back what you find.

Handmade guitar amp, when i plugin the guitar i start playing, but then signal gets lost, the sound dissapears, and then it appears again, and after minute or two it dissapears. i've tried to put full...

have you got valves fitted to the amp as they can cause fading if old >damaged >not fittted properly also check the speaker connects and try playing half volume the output should be steady.. you say its handmade if you made it pull out the amp board and check your soldering joints look to see fi there is any that need resoldering as they may be getting hot and causing a resistor to fade..

No images but records sound

To start ensure that you removed the cover from the lens.
Also remove battery and put it back in place to reset the camcorder.

If you get only sound on playback, connect the camera to a computer or TV, or play the tape on a different camera. If you get picture in there, then the camcorder is recording, but the video playback does not work because of a faulty LCD display.
If when you play back the movie on a different camera, or using the compute you still get no picture then the camcorder is faulty.
Faults that can cause black screen can be:
Lens problem. Faulty CCD sensor. Faulty controller board.
All this faults are not easy to diagnose and fix, if there is a fault , then it is better to take the camera to a repair shop.

Problem with Samsung SyncMaster 226BW

Click the top button on the side of the monitor to open the monitor's settings. In the "Picture" Settings, scroll down to "MagicBright" and open those settings. Chances are you have it set to "Dynamic Contrast". Switch that up to any of the other settings and then it won't try to adjust the gamma based on what is on the screen.

Hope this helps, I struggled with the same problem for quite a while until I found this setting.
