Question about Whirlpool GS6NBEXR Side by Side Refrigerator
I replaced the water inlet valve and still does not work. I get little water to the dispenser, no water to the ice maker. I checked the line and i have water but the water does not go up from the solenoid to the ice maker. I also removed the water filter and activated the dispenser without the water filter and alot of water came out of the water filter housing. I have eliminate the tubing which is not plugged, plenty of water, ice maker tube is not frozen, and i hear the solenoid activate when i press the water dispenser. Please, help! I know i can fix it.
You have a bad water filter housing. Be sure to turn of the water to the refrigerator before replacing this part. Replace the filter at the same time.

check your module itself on the ice maker make sure the plactic piece that turn the motor is not broke off if you can move the injector blades up and down without force that could be your issue to check you ice make sensor open the freezer and push the light switch 3 times you should get a solid red light where you can turn your ice maker on or off if that is not solid it is the computer chips that are in the freezer liner if all that checks then replace the water valve

SOURCE: Ice maker won't make ice
It sounds like the fill tube coming through the freezer wall is frozen shut. Need to carefully take a hair dryer to it then recheck with wire swap. If you turn i/m off for a couple hours then back on you should be able to watch the fingers go around. If so you module should be good.

SOURCE: ice maker stopped working
Hello pryorjonw. You may need a new dual water valve, because the part going to the icemaker may be bad, the ice sensing arm may be in the up/off position, the ice bucket may not be positioned properly not triggering the icebucket sensing switch, the condenser coil might be dirty, or the freezer may not be freezing enough to make ice while everything else seems to be staying frozen. To see if your freezer is cold enough, squeeze your icecream carton, as that is the first to thaw if there is a problem.
