Question about Gateway FPD1760 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

No power. will not turn on.

No power.
The on off switch appears bad. The switch appeaeared to be arcing with the PC off recently.

The no signal box would light on the for a second or so once a minute. The problem went away when the monitor was was unplugged.

I turned off the monitor today with the switch, and it will not turn back on!

Thanks.

Hello

On/off switches do go bad. The "No Signal" is more likely caused by a loose cable, cable or electronic failure. Generally the refusal to turn on or slow turn on is caused by capacitors on the power supply board which have changed value. Take it to a local repair person or see my website: www.micromendllc.com

Iv got an 88 F150 4x4 iv got turn signals light fuse is good got power at break switch need no break lights and is there suppost 2 b 1 r 2 wires coming out of fuse box

Do you have power at both sides of the brake switch when the brake is applied? If so it sounds like the turn signal switch is bad. try turning on and off the 4 ways a few times. sometimes this will clean the connections and it will start working.
The power goes through the fuse to the brake switch. from the brake switch to the turn signal switch from the turn signal switch to the tail lights. If the 4 ways are on the power goes through the 4 way fuse to the 4 way flashers then to both sides.
If the turn signal is on and the brake is on, the turn switch cansles the power from the brake and uses power from a 3 fuse and flasher for the side that the turn signal is called for.
If I typed to fast let me know. I can answer any questions you might have.
If this helped you please vote 4 thumbs up. :-)
good Luck and God Bless

Quite old but unused AC 225 S.strikes an arc,can weld about an inch, cuts out...short while later ,same thing

Most common problem would be with technique if this is a buzz box type welder. It is tricky to maintain the right arc and speed to not have arc go out. You need to use a voltmeter to check what is happening to the output voltage. If it disappears, search for a bad connection on the inout power. This could be clear back at the breaker or anywher to the welder. If the fan continues to run, then this is not the problem. Check the switch contacts on the heat setting switch.

Location of the turning signal fuse

GET A GOOD FUSE TESTER, TEST EVERY FUSE. 2 BOXES ONE UNDER THE HOOD & ONE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE FUSES HAVE TEST POINTS FACING OUT. POWER ON ONE SIDE, BAD FUSE POWER ON BOTH SIDES GOOD FUSE, POWER ON NEITHER SIDE, SPARE FUSE.IF THE FUSES TEST OK, YOU MAY HAVE A BAD FLASHER, OR BAD TURN SIGNAL { COMBINATION } SWITCH.

Brake light not work. done all checking blubs is good, replace switch, replace relay, fuse all good. turngal work hazzard light work but no brake light. i bypass on relay it work so i cant leave short...

the brake light switch powers the wire which goes to the turn signal switch. So I think if the turn signals works, then the turn signal switch is bad. Check for power at the wire going from the brake switch to the turn signal switch. . Since you didnt tell what year or model the truck is, I cant tell you what the wire color is.

Trun signal wont work

First check the turn signal fuses. The turn signal fuse is fuse number 8 in fuse box.If the fuse checks out ok then the next thing to check would be the Turn Signal Flasher Unit. Power flows from the fuse to the flasher and then to the T/S switch. You should have power to the dark blue wire at the flasher. If you do then check for power at the purple wire at the T/S switch connector. If you have power there, then you have a bad switch. If not, then you have a bad T/S flasher unit or an open in the power side of the circuit.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Lamp Issue with Mitsubishi WD-62725

Hi I am Vortash it sounds as if the actual fault is in your ballast circuit this is the circuit that fires up the arc on the lamp and sends the signal to the main board that the lamp is running , if this is faulty no signal is received by the board and the lamp light comes on when this happens there is usually still sound but not always as sometimes the problem affects the power supply also .. this is a job for a trained engineer as voltages at the ballast are sometimes in excess of 25000 volts at first arc that then settles to a lower voltage to run ... regards Vortash
