Question about Gateway FPD1760 17" LCD Monitor
The on off switch appears bad. The switch appeaeared to be arcing with the PC off recently.
The no signal box would light on the for a second or so once a minute. The problem went away when the monitor was was unplugged.
I turned off the monitor today with the switch, and it will not turn back on!
On/off switches do go bad. The "No Signal" is more likely caused by a loose cable, cable or electronic failure. Generally the refusal to turn on or slow turn on is caused by capacitors on the power supply board which have changed value. Take it to a local repair person or see my website: www.micromendllc.com
