Re: unlock code

Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode!

I do not know how to wire nenwood kdc-422 to a 94 buick century?

You should have a wire harness pigtail that comes with your kenwood.
you can also purchase a harness adapter plug/pigtail at most audio auto stereo shops to fit your car make and model.
Be sure to save the packaging because the plastic bag has the color/codes for the harness. This harness is designed to plug right into the factory plug inside the dash just like the stock radios do.
All you need to do is splice the kenwood cables to the adapter plug pigtail you purchase for your car.
match up each wire as described here:

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Pink
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A

Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green

I just bought a Kenwood KDC-MP438U I installed all the wires right, power is to the deck because it accepts a cd. the deck face doesn't light up. I called in at Kenwood and they had me test it directly to...

Check your Ground Wire inside the Truck and Check the Illumination Wire. I Think on Kenwood the Illumination Wire goes with the Power Wire. If they still will not work, You might want to get a Wiring Harness from Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Kenwood kdc-415s

if there is no amplifier separate from the radio - the blue /white wire from the back of the radio goes to the solid blue wire on the harness attached to the car's plug. the orange wire is not supported by the kenwood radio, so make sure you tape it well- if your not using a separate amp also tape up the blue/white wire coming off the harness you have coming out of the harness to the car. if this helps you please give me a good rating- if not please e-mail me at respectfully M.
