I was having a problem with my Outlook Express and I tried to restore my system to an earlier date. The computer screen went blank but the tower was still on. I turned it off and turned it back on and now my screen comes up with the emachine logo and then goes black.

The system restore probably undid something really essential for the computer to work properly. Try hitting F8 when the computer is booting up, boot into safe mode, log in as admin and try to undo the last restore you did.

I cannot get into my computer, that was set up yesterday w/ no problem today its adking for a password for outlook that I have never had, I haveaso.com

Outlook is the default email program.have you tried to configure your emails to go through outlook?you can clear all emails accounts in outlook if you have no need to use outlook to prevent the pop up screen from annoying you.i assume you do have system restore running ...in which case choose a restore date from an earlier time than when the problem started and it should successfully restore settings to work around the issue.acer systems have their own restore capability which you must be careful not to activate or you will lose all your personal files as everything reverts back to factory install.i don't know which operating system you are on so any further advice is limited.

Blank Screen on start. No display

Hi ,

Here are the steps that you can follow to resolve the issue .

Turn the computer off completely ,disconnect any external devices connected to the computer along with the cable for the internet .Then press and hold the power button on the front panel of the computer tower and then hold it for atleast 30 seconds.Turn the computer on and check what happens.

Turn the computer off and then as soon as you turn the computer on tap the f8 key repeatedly until you get a black screen that says advance boot menu options ,select the option that says safe mode and hit the enter key .Select the operating system if you have xp or else you need to wait for the page wherein you can put in the password. If it is sucesful then it will take you to the desktop so you need to restore the computer to an earlier time when the computer was working fine.Click on start?all programs ?accessories?system tools and then system restore .(in case of vista simply type system restore in the search bar and hit enter). Once the resotre page opens up select restore my computer to an earlier time and click next. You will get a calander whic has different dates so select a date when you think that the computer was working fine. The date that you select should be in bold.Click on nest next to exit from the wizard and then the computer will restore and then will restart which wil take you to the normal mode.If the restore is succesful then it will take you to the desktop .

If safe mode does not work try with last known good configuration which takes the computer to the date when the computer was working fine.If non of the options work then you can go to the recovery page to do this instead of the f8 key tap the f11 key until you get the system recovery page then click on next to get to a page that says advance option ,need to click on that and then select system restore .This is for xp in vista its the same key (f11) but you get a recovery manager page then you will have to select advance option then system restore .

If these options does not work then recovery needs to be done wherein the computer needs to be formated.

All the best....

Loss of Nero Express 6.0

Restore your pc to a previous date. One before you started the update. Click start, click accessories, choose system tools, click restore, choose restore my computer to an earlier time, click next, choose date earlier than update, click next. pc will return to status of that date and should be good to go. Restore will run on it's own, be patient, don't panic. Good luck.

Clicking outlook express hyperlinks gives not responding message

First download and reinstall Internet Explorer, that has Outlook Express built in. See Internet Explorer: Get It Now.

If that does not work, do system restore to a date before you started having the problem. See System Restore on Windows XP.

Have you installed any application/program prior to the blue screen? Most blue screen causes your system not to boot to your operating system anymore. It is possible that your hard drive is crashed due to a virus infections or spywares. Incompatibility and corrupted system registry may affect your system to have blue screen as well.
