I deleted software after it wouldn't work. I tried to reinstall. Software still in machine but won't reinstall over old software. No icons now. won't see it either.

Good day B J Gonce
Did you "delete" the software or "uninstalled" it? Because if you deleted it that is most likely what is causing the issue, whenever you want to get a software off your machine it is always best to go to the "Control Panel" and uninstall it from "Programs" if you have Windows 7 and from "Add/Remove Programs" if you have XP.

Where did you delete the software from? If you only deleted it off your desktop and or from your Star Menu then it has not truly been deleted. To get it off your machine you would have to search your Program Files folder and then delete the corresponding folders for the software you are trying to uninstall from there, but the correct method is to uninstall it from Control Panel like I stated above.

There is a listing in my list of program files that when I click on it a window pops up that says this program does not exist and that Windows cannot uninstall it.

Often when a program is deleted the delete process does not remove all the folders and files. This is not usually a problem but will slow your machine down after time.
Try disc clean and a registery cleaner

Installing software

Delete all prior programs. Go to singer and find the patch for it prior adding the disk. It happened to me twice and finally I was able to do it when I deleted all prior futura programs. Hope it helps.

Hi, it's safe to delete Internet Explorer from program files? coz when i tried to deleted it, it said deleting this Internet Explorer may make some programs not work.

Ya, you should not delete the internet explorer program files, it a system file. It comes in built with Windows. Deleteing it, will damage your system registry. Please don't delete the folder.

I have cyberdefender registry cleaner on my pc. How do I get it off? It won't let me delete it.

Go to download a program called "Revo Uninstaller" run the installer. All of your installed programs show up in the main window, double click on the program you want to delete. It will ask you if you're sure, Choose the advanced button and click next. Revo will initiate the programs uninstaller, if the uninstaller fails, that is ok because Revo will then take over. No matter what, do not reboot the machine until Revo is done. Once the programs uninstaller is finished, Revo will then search for any left over files and registry settings, if will be show up to two additional screens with files. Select all and delete all that is shown, when Revo is finished, you can now reboot the machine and the program will be gone.

Can't get pop ups of windows police pro anti virus off my pc , what is the easiest way to get it off ?

go to start menu, then go to run, then type in regedit and hit enter.
You will be in the registry. You will see a box that says H key Local Machine, expand box, find box that says software, expand this, find your program, right click, and delete it.
You can also do this under H Key Local User as well

Or go to control panel, add/remove programs and delete it. Then go to search menu, and find file, and delete it from there

Start up menu

Click on the start button at the botton left of the screen, open the all programs, with your programs you will see a section that reads startup. Right click on anything in the startup and click delete. You will have to do them one at a time untill it reads empty. Don't worry about deleting the items in the startup section. It doesn't delete or effect the program at all. The only thing it does it keep that program from automatically starting when you turn on the machine. If you need any further assistance fell free to ask.
