If it is comming from the disk drive, this usally means that you have bumbed your xbox 360, you are never to touch the xbox 360 or move it or pick it up whilst it is on.

New black xbox 250gb console makeing loud noises

Could be a lot of different things.
  1. Try changing the orientation of your Xbox 360. If it's laying on its side, lay it upright or vice versa.
  2. Your Xbox 360 might not be getting enough airflow circulation. If it's very close to the wall, move it further away so the fans can circulate more air.
  3. The DVD drive is what is producing the sound either from its magnets or something else. This is usually unfixable without voiding your warranty.
It should be noted that Xbox 360's are notorious for being loud like what you're talking about.

Whenever i put a game in it makes a loud noise

This is more than likely just your Xbox starting up. It does on mine as well.

But if it hasn't happened before it could be a problem.

It could be part of the insides of the console hitting the disc, this can scratch the disc and damage it.

If you have your 360 vertical try to change it so it is horizontal but with the power button on the right side of where you put your discs in.

Make sure that you remove the game inside it before doing this, as moving around your console when it is on can damage the game and will increase the chances of it breaking, even when it is off it could damage it.

If you ever receive a message saying the game is unreadable then that could be because of that 'loud vibrating noisde'.

Don't worry!

Disc getting scratched

I've heard that when you put discs in the 360 and have the machine perpendicular to the ground, scratches sometimes occur. From my own personal experience, physically moving the 360 while playing a disc can sometimes cause scratches. I'd call 1-800-4-MYXBOX and ask them about it. Try their tech support and hopefully any fixes fall within your warranty or are easier than that. I'm sure that they'd be glad to help. Good luck!

My xbox 360 fell and now it won't read a certain game.

obviously when it "fell" its broken something inside, if its still under its 1st year in warrenty, i would send it to microsoft and say that it just stopped working, but it could be a many thing causing the problem, if you dont wanna wait for microsoft, find a local man in your area who specialises in fixing xbox's.

The xbox makes a loud crunching noise when playing a game and now one of our new games is scratched

Sounds like the DVD-ROM clip that holds the games in place is broken. In order to fix this you can contact microsoft and request a repair. If your 360 is in warranty still there will be no problems.

My xbox 360 makes a loud noise with some games and not others, why?

HI, the there is a balancer that is located inside the DVD ROM drive assembly(Spin Motor stabilizer). this has become unstable for some reason. this will result if disk scratches and game damage as well. unfortunately, this cannot be repaired without replacing the entire DVD ROM drive.

If it becomes unbearable, just simply replace the DVD ROM Drive.

Loud humming noise coming from 360

The loud humming noise is usually the DVD drive. It is very fast but is very loud. If you have the NXE dashboard you can download games to you Xbox 360 to run them from the hard drive (you will still need to put in the disk for copy protection issues). The Xbox should make less noise then. Try to mount the Xbox 360 on a hard surface which is in contact with a soft floor to reduce the noise travelling through your home.
If it is making a loud noise while there is no disk in the drive then take the console to a Microsoft dealer whenever you can to have them take a look at it.

Loud noise from unit

From what i understand, the dvd drive can spin wonky allowing the disks to foul and cause large scratches
