Ok the two swithces ,,,im guessing the reset/eject button ... you cant push them both at the same time ... when you replaced the lens ..the ribbon cable that came out of it if you look real good there is a black or tan tab that lifts up and down to hold it in place if you dont have it back in place you wont have power to it same goes for where it plugs in to the the machine((the ribbon cable holder))because when you take the ribbon cable out the tab dosent lift up so when your putting it back in you wouldnt notice it..
look close youll see.

Hello,

Did you happen to drop it accidentally? Or accidentally applied force into your camera? If yes, then there is big chance you will gonna have to replace the whole lens! If not, then it might just be dirt stuck inside your lens mechanism. To fix it, hold your camera with the lens facing the ground. Then, tap your camera repeatedly. Start with light tapping to moderate. If that doesn't work, spray condensed air directly into the lens part of your camera.

I get a no disc message on my LG RC897T when I try to play a factory disc, however it plays any disc that I have burned on my computer. It also plays cds fine.

Hello,
how long have you been using this player? I suspect the laser (lens) of the player. I think the laser (lens) is weak that's why it cannot read data/files on DVD discs.
To confirm if actually its a laser problem, insert an Audio CD into the player and see if will play. If it plays, then obviously, your laser (lens) is weak. But if it doesn't play Audio CD, then it might still be the laser (lens) or a mechanism problem.
Get a lens cleaner, use it to clean the lens. If that doesn't solve the problem, get a screw driver, open the player's cover so that you can gain access to the lens, use a cotton board to clean the surface of the lens. This should clean dust or dirt that might be on the lens.
If non of the above solves the problem, then know that you need to replace the laser to a brand new one.
To replace the lens, remove the bad laser, use it as a sample to get exactly the same type and do the replacement. Note that replacing a laser (lens) needs a professional touch, so if you cannot replace the laser, get it to a repairman to fix it for you.
Once this us done, your player will play all DVD discs again.
Good luck.

I turn on my camera and it goes to lens error then shuts off. how can i fix this?

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera,
check some tips in THIS LINK. Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable. Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down). Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again. Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope helps.

REAR BRAKE LIGHT BURNED OUT

open the hatch and look at the side of the lens should be black and plastic. you'll find two TORX screws holding the lens on. remove the screws and give a good tug straight back on the lens. STRAIGHT BACK. (failure to pull in the correct direction could result in a broken retaining pin). it feels much more difficult than really needs to be. have faith. it'll go. good luck. by the way the bulb comes straight out of the socket. but the socket disconnects from the board by twisting it. be gentle here. test bulb for proper operation before reinstalling lens onto body.

Bronica SQ-Ai shutter problem

There could be a number of issues with this problem. Make sure the contacts at the rear of the lens and those on the body that connect with those on the lens are clean and straight. If so, the problem may be in the shutter within the lens. There is a magnet inside the shutter that sometimes becomes contaminated and fails to hold the shutter blades open for the selected shutter speed. The face of the magnet may need to be cleaned. There are also timing switches that sometimes go bad or need adjusting. These internal problems need to be taken care of by a competent technician since the lens needs to be completely disassembled. I have also seen these shutters go bad and need to be replaced. Let's hope that's not the problem because it will be difficult to get a new shutter for the lens--but not imposible. God luck.
