Question about MagLite Camping, Backpacking & Hiking
I have both a 2AA and a 3AAA LED Maglite. They are much brighter and the batteries last longer than my old 2AA non-LED Maglites. However, I have a lot of intermittancy problems with the LED versions. I clean the contact inside the barrel with a pencil eraser, but it does not always solve the problem. Later, they may start working again. Right now, I have a 2AA LED Maglite that I cannot get to work - not even with new batteries. By rapidly twisting and untwisting the on/off head, I can get it to very briefly flash once in a while, but that it. As far as I can tell, the LED bulbs cannot be changed on the AA LED Maglites. Does this mean a whole new flashlight?
The Led are most likely not burned out they last 10,000 hours or more. Sounds more like defect.
