I'm using the original cd software, check for updates, then connect the zune but after my pc recognizes it appears this message..."there is a problem during installation of the device..........thr spscified service does not exists as an installed service.

How to restore your Zune device software:------------ When you restore your Zune device software, the startup partition and the data partition are removed and rebuilt. In addition to removing the Zune device software, this process also erases all audio, videos, podcasts, and pictures that are stored on the Zune device. Warning To restore the Zune device software, you must have a Windows-based computer that has an Internet connection. That computer must have the Zune software installed. And you must be able to connect the Zune device to a USB port on that computer by using a Zune Sync Cable. Do not perform the following steps if you do not have any one or more of these things immediately available.
After you start to restore the Zune device software, you cannot again use the device until you complete all the steps. You will not receive any confirmation or warning on the Zune device after you start the following procedure.
To restore the Zune device software, follow these steps: 1. Set the Hold Switch to unlocked. 2. Press and hold the Back button at the same time as you press and hold the top of the Zune Pad. When the Zune device begins to power up, release the buttons. 3. Immediately after you release the buttons in step 2, press and hold the following special button combination, depending on your Zune model:• If you have the 4GB Zune, the 8GB Zune, or the 80GB Zune, immediately press and hold the Back button at the same time as you press both the left side of the Zune Pad and the Play/Pause button. Wipe the device. Update the firmware. Then re-add all your media (music) and try again.
If the problem persists you will need to contact Microsoft (Zune) about the problem because then you are dealing with a hardware issue and not a software issue. Hardware issues can only be fixed by professionals and support from Zune.
You need to use the Zune software. The Zune player does not recognize anything other than the Zune software. that is why when you connect it it will not show up as a connected device under Explorer. There is a way to hack the Zune but it requires some work and patience. Look up media monkey and read all about it.
Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
