A good trick is to hold the trigger in while attaching your air hose to it this sometimes will force the piston to unfreeze (make sure you are pointing it away from you you will have to hold it against something to engage the safety.

if not the top of the gun has 4 hex screws you may need to unscrew them paying attention to where the gaskets and parts go.

Open it up push on the piston to see if it will move have you been adding your 2-3 drops of oil every day when you use the gun?

you may try adding a bit of oil around the piston to see if you can free it.

if you see rust in there pitch it as its gone.

Its not your husbands fault Truthfuly the gun is a peice of junk it was never made to last they start to rust on the inside and that bindes it all up you have broken springs honestly throw it in the trash and get a new one but spray WD 40 in it this will make it last longer

Staples are stuck inside the stapler and will not come out

Typically you do not open these up.
Makes it difficult to remove stuck or wrong staples.
I have had good luck removing the staple ram rod and rapping firmly on the **** of the stapler against a wooden table. The idea is jolting the stuck staples into reverse out the way they went in. Tedious process but usually works. Removing the jammed staples in the nose at the striker plate requires using needle nose pliers and a sharp awl or small screw driver used on very small screws.
My T50 Arrow stapler is over 20 years old.
Still works great. Sometimes I slide in the wrong size staples by mistake. The process above usually works.
Good luck!

My gun will not shoot staples after loaded I thin there is a part missing

Staple gun are simple device and the 'shooting' mechanism is just a sring loaded bar that hammers the staple out: the problem is usually a jam/stuck staple where the staple in the orifice where the staple comes out. Just use a small screwdriver and /or plier to remove the stuck staple which could be jammed against the hammer bar. You may need to force the hammer bar backwards with the help of your small flat head screwdriver.

Hope it helps!

Reloading ace 22084 staple gun

Hello there:
when you purchase staples for this particular gun even though you might get a staple that is says it fits this gun you need to look at the type of staple if you get the one that says heavy duty it will not work it took me 2 times to find out the right ones for this gun it comes in a green box and says standard duty on it not heavy duty this is where most people make their mistake. ok?

Has staples loaded but does not shoot staple. I pulled out the follower and cannot tell if there is a jam, but looking at the "output" of the stapler seems to have a staple...

I think you just answered your own question. I have had one single staple stuck at the "output" where the staple shoot out and it drove me insane for a few until I slowed my roll, took a deep breath and said, I have got to be smarter than a piece of metal here, and took a calm slow looksy. Sure enough, it was one loan staple causing a backup of the rest. I have also had issues with overloading staples which eventually makes the spring pushup rod become less forceful as it pushes the staples up for firing. Not an issue until you get towards the last dozen staples or so, which can also lead to the last staple not quite getting that millimeter push ahead, to shoot out correctly. These staple guns are like babies. Have to treat them nice and pamper them and heaven forbid you ever drop that stapler cause if dropped more than likely it will never quite be the same again. Piece of staple stuck in the trigger section of arrow t-50p

First, remove the magazine pusher / spring and any staples loaded in the magazine.  Then try firing the gun to clear the staple.  Use a small jeweler's screwdriver and small needle nose pliers to get the staple out.  Reload and test.       These are relatively inexpensive staple guns.  If the problem persists it might be less trouble to replace the gun.     Best of luck and I hope this solution works for you.   Michael Mittelsdorf
