Question about Uniden 5.8GHz Dual Cordless Phone

Open Question

I have the Uniden DX700 expandable set. My phones

I have the Uniden DX700 expandable set. My phones all of a sudden stopped ringing when there is an incoming call. The caller ID won't even show up that there was an incoming call. I can make outgoing calls. I plugged in a non-cordless phone, which does ring, and if that phone rings I can hit talk on my Uniden phone and it will pick up. Also if I am on the Uniden phone, my call waiting and call waiting ID do work. I have tried multiple times de-registering and re-registering all of the handsets but nothing works. The phones just won't ring or even recognize there is an incoming call.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: uniden 5.8Ghz phone.

You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.

SOURCE: I have a new Uniden cordless phone. The handsets

You can downlaod the manual from uniden in pdf form.
http://www.uniden.com/products/productdetail.cfm?product=DECT1580-4

the -4 or -5 refers to how many handsets you set. The 1580 is the actual model number.

To register I think all you do is place them on the master pad once then on their own charger stations. On some models they come all done so you just plug them in charge them up and use them.

I have a Uniden 5.8GHz DSS8955+1 and it's connected to my phone and fax. The problem is: everytime the fax rings, the answer machine works as it works when is a phone call. How do I set up the machine not...

Set your answering machine to pick up after four rings2.gif . This will give the fax machine enough time to take the call if it senses that it's an incoming fax. Setting the answering machine to pick up after four rings would give the fax machine enough time to accept the fax.
hope this was helpful .
