My air handler fan does not come on, the outside unit turns on fine. Is their a way to reset the fan?

Check for fan operation by turning the fan control at the thermostat to "on". If the fan blows, it works. If not, check a circuit breaker or fuse.

If the fan blows when forcing it on with the thermostat but not in automatic, check the fan control circuit in the air handler. Danger: high voltage, beware! There should be a system wiring diagram inside the air handler somewhere.

How do I find the fuse for central air type is a heil

There's a small 3 amp fuse in the air handler (indoor) that protects the control transformer (there should also be internal circuit breakers and a disconnect outside). The condensing unit (outdoor) is protected by an outside disconnect and circuit breaker.Be sure to shut the power before messing around in the air handler.

I just bought a used Carrier FV4BNB006 Air Handler without elec heat (just the air handler itself) . I pulled down the Installation instructions, but dang if I can find the right circuit breaker size to...

Hi, when you get the unit, it will tell you the Min. and max amps on the units data plate. They normally run in the 30 to 60 amp range depending on the tonnage of the air handler. What I would do, is run your lines now, and pick up a 60 amp disconnect box. You can use what ever size fuses in the box that the data plate says. Very easy to find out. Good Luck,

York Air Handler trips main circuit breaker

almost has to be the electric heat strip coils. they usually come on in stages. when the damaged strip comes on it kicks breaker. turn off all power, check with a meter , gently remove strips and inspect for broken or shorted coils. usually best to buy a new heat strip module. they are usually held in place as a module with 4 screws and a snap together wire connector .good luck. i have had some success if the wires are broken and not to brittle by bending a minute loop in the end of each wire and reconnect with the tiniest screw and washer and nut you can find, i'm talking real tiny. about the size of a bb if you can find em , or you can remove the damaged strip wire entirely to get some heat from remaining.

Air handler circuit breaker

WITHOUT ANYTHING TO LOOK AT I WOULD SAY HE CONNECTED HALF THE LOAD TO ONE OF THE PHASE WIRES AND THE OTHER TO THE OTHER PHASE WIRES , PHASE WIRES MEANING 120/240 SINGLE PHASE , SO IF THAT IS THE CASE TAKE THE WIRES HE HAS BUNDLED TO ONE PHASE OR ONE TERMINAL ON THE BREAKER AND THE OTHER TO THE OTHER TERMINAL OF THE BREAKER IN SOME CASES IT IS NECESSARY TO CONNECT THE WIRES WITH CONNECTOR, APPROVED TYPE AND THEN TO THE BREAKER TERMINAL ,THIS JUMPER SHOULD BE RATED THE RATEDING OF THE BREAKER YOU ARE INSTALLING ,GOOD LUCK
