If the electricity is needed to ignite that cooktop, you can install power inverter from DC to AC. you can use 24 volt battery and inverted to 110V or 220V or depending on the power input of the cooktop..may this help,

How did you connect that inverter? Because diesel engines are independent of ignition systems and don't need one to run, unless the computer is fried.

Itr sounds like a failing ignition module, or incorrect trigger gap

Make sure you are using the outlet on the right which is live all the time . The one on the left is only live wih the ignition on.

You dont want to install directly to the battery as the battery will constantly produce energy draining the battery instead install it to the yellow ignition wire usually accessable under the dash so as it only runs when the vehicle is on You can also usually locate the ignition at the fuse panel

The inverter caused a short circuit , the insulation on the lighter socket is earthed out or a cable is burnt and earthed out , disconnect the lighter cable, and check if shorted , if not work back to the ignition switch till you find it.

Failing backlight inverter. This board lights the tv. The inverter is going out and the CCFL bulbs are slow to ignite, hence the light issue. You will need to open the tv and locate the backlight inverter. Found on the left or right side of the tv, looking down. Replace with the same serial # of the bad board and you will be up and running again!

Yes, just be sure connections are heavy enough wire, and obviously the inverter uses 12 vdc input. Hook jumper wires positive to positive, negative to negative, on all 12 volt batteries. Deep cycle batteries will work better than car batteries. Just remember, when re-charging them, that they last longer when charged slowly, so don't use a high amp setting on charger and to monitor them closely, and do it in a well ventilated area, away from any ignition sources.

Please explain in more detail. You have a power INVERTER, from 12vDC to AC HOUSE CURRENT?

Or You have a CONVERTOR (aka Transformer) to CONVERT AC House current into 12v DC?
Your best option is to buy a battery charger, pull it in the backyard, and hook up the battery charger while you are listening. REMEMBER to use the ACCESSORY position on the key switch, to avoid possible damage to the cars ignition system! Leaving the Ignition coil charged (ON) for long periods of time without the engine running can cause it to overheat and possibly render itself useless.

Now you know what the ACC position is for on the automobile.
