Have a 21 gal central pneumatic. 2.5 hp. With no pressure in tank, plugged into wall outlet. Upon start up it will run 20 seconds then the breaker on motor case trips. Barely used this thing.

the thermal circuit breaker is overloading
that can be from a faulty tcb or a problem in the compressor ( seized)
most need start/run capacitors for the motor to start and if it / they are faulty then that will blow the TCB
if it has 2 capacitors ( one for start which it is doing and the other for run then that capacitor may be the problem
if it has the one unit with 4 wires , replace the capacitor
suggest that get an electrician in to check out the unit

Central pnematic compressors, will not build up air

Use soapy water to check for air leaks. Can also check piston ring and valves. Make sure engine is driving the compressor.

Rockworth air compressor

I would think that if you are mechanically inclined at all you should be able to do that. You are right must tanks are either generic in configuration or made be the same manufacturer. I would like at worse case you may have to drill a couple of new holes for mounting your compressor.

I have central pneumatic 21 gal. air compressor. The unloader valve is broke. The power switch is a fenwai model: fw-10. Where can I buy a new unloader valve?

If you should mean the switch that is pressure controlled that turn the compressor on and off- that is a fairly universal replacement piece, As is the power switch itself

If you needed that specific part, your best bet is Harbor Freight tools who owns the Central Pneumatic domain.

The preassure only gets to about 50lbs. on my 2 Hp 4 Gal. compressor and the motor just keeps running. Is my compressor going bad or is this something that is fixable?

Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. You are loosing pressure somewhere. Check for air leaks in the lines, check the line coming from the pump to the tank, check the drain valve at the bottom of tank. Thanks for choosing FixYa....John

Need diaphram for regulator for central pneumatic 42321

I used a FORD master cylinder gasket number 42098. It is the right overall diameter and I used a hole punch, slightly oiled, in my drill press to put in the four screw holes. The hardest thing is getting the nuts back on the screws to hold the switch together. But it works for $5.

if it is leaking air the check valve is bad.find the airline leaving the air pump follow this line to tank.this line attaches to the check valve which is screwed into tank.make sure no pressure is in tank when removing.
