Question about GE Refrigerators
I have a GE PSS25MGMCAA refrigerator. I think the circuit board is bad. The fans run, but not the compressor. Based on one of the posts on this site, I jumped the COM and Line terminals and the compressor ran. I also notice on the back side of the circuit board, one of the compressor solder terminals is slightly black. I suspect the board is bad. Do you agree? Is it possible just to replace the compressor relay on the board? I don't want to burn up a new board, does this sound like just a bad board/relay, or do you think something else caused the board/relay to fail? Thanks for any help you may offer. Jim
You need to change the board . Part number WR55X10656 . The board relay , cannot be changed . Power surges , dirty condensor coils , and usage , are the most common causes , for board failure .
