I have an Iomega MDHD500-N external hardrive. I erased a folder of photos accidentaly. How can I recover the photos?

Did you look in your recycle bin. If you are lucky you may be able to restore them from there. Other than that, that is why they also say to do a backup every once in a while. Please rate my answer to I am rewarded points for it.

I have 1 TB WD and i wanted to delete all files. Ques? will all those files will remain in my 1TB WD? or do i have to have it nuked to clear all the files? Please advised?

If you just press delete the files will stay hidden on the HD. If you want to flush the HD clean just format it. When you get the format option do not choose the quick option but choose slow.It will take longer time but will erase all data .

Erasing Network Harddrive

I'll go ahead and assume that you're using Iomega's home media network drive. That model has a built in USB 2.0 port, so you should be able to connect one of the Macs to the hard drive physically. OSX should recognize the hard drive and allow you to format it. If you are unable to physically access the drive (i.e., it's in a closet, wall, server mount) you may be able to still connect to the built in server on the drive and format it from there. I would recommend the physical method first though.
