if your are using the ordinary AA rechargeable battery it will not charge., Camera dock will charge only on a 2 Pack AA battery like KAA2HR batteries or the 2 AA battery that attached together (Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack )
Hi, I think I can answer your question, i just tried something with my camera and camera dock.
My camera came with a Kodak battery pack(pack that looks like 2 batteries connected together). When I place my camera with this battery pack in it on the dock, a green light comes on on the dock and the batteries begin to charge. However, when i place any other rechargeable batteries in the camera on the dock, it has no effect, my theory is that it must be a battery pack, possibly by the same manufacturer so that it will charge correctly
i have a 7440, it looks similar to what you are showing. i have two methods of charging....1- is a docking station approx. $30 and 2- a little wall charger that the battery sits in as charging...cost?? cheap.
check with best buy or someone who sells the camera.... hope it works out for you...we are enjoying ours without any problems.
Flora
what rechargeable batteries are you using and what's your method of charging?
If your using a dock for charging - make sure you have the battery pack kodak kaa2hr otherwise the dock won't charge it
if you're using a separate charger - it's ok to use other AA ni-mh
please check the age of your batteries as well.. batts, even rechargeable eventually wear out - they can last up to 300 charging cycles and a year or a little more than that is enough for you consider buying a new set
if you say that you barely use the cam, batteries still deteriorate through time
The only type of batteries that will recharge on the printer dock are kodak rechargables. Just place the camera on the dock and leave it. It should begin charging on its own.
