Question about Canon PowerShot A620 Digital Camera

2 Answers

My camera won't turn on but it'll let me view all my pictures just fine. I think their might be a problem with the shutter because it sticks out a bit. When I try to turn my camera on it'll show the FujiFilm Welcome Screen and then just go to a black screen. If there is anyone who knows how to fix this without taking it to get fixed professionally please tell me, i would be very grateful of that! If not, and you know where they can fix it (other then sending it back to the company) please inform me! Thanksss(:

This is a very common problem. It may need firmware upgraded. The manufacture will do it for $50 or you may be able to find a software update on the web.

I would like to know if a 24mm Nikon f2.8 Ai Manual Focus Lens will work on a Nikon N75 SLR Camera

Yes and no. It will fit and you can take pictures with it. You'll have to focus manually, of course, and you won't get any exposure help from the camera's light meter. You'll have to use the camera in the Manual exposure mode, setting the shutter speed on the camera body and the aperture by turning the ring on the lens and, as I said earlier, without any help from the camera's light meter.

My lumix camera will come on, but the display for the pifture is black, how do i fix this

I think most of these questions about black LCD's and black pictures relate to a stuck shutter. My Lumix LX2 has this. The screen is black and so are the pictures. On looking at the shutter through a magnifying glass I took a shot and I saw that the iris works fine, but the shutter did not open. I am sending the camera for repair at a reasonable rate from Clearer images here in the UK.This is the email: sales@panasoniclumixrepair.co.uk. Time will tell won't it?

My s2is powershot camera works fine but it seems the lens will not open there is nothing in the view finder, it takes picture but it is black

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Nikon 18-55mm AF-S/ VR lense shudder?

I believe you're hearing the VR in the lens adjusting. Try turning the VR off and see if you hear the sound. If not, then you have a normal operating lens.
