Question about Hayward SAND FILTER, PRO SERIES
Sounds like the spider gasket has come out of place. Make sure the pump is off and remove the top of the valve and inspect the spider gasket (looks like a wagon wheel). If it's out of place, sometimes you can reinstall it with a silicone lubricant (clean thoroughly and lube). There should be some good spring tension and you may have to depress the selection handle to reinstall the valve. Hope this helps!
